How to choose a cleaning agency in Dubai

Agency or independent cleaner?

In Dubai, cleaners should be employed and sponsored by a licensed company. Booking through an agency means the agency is responsible for its staff, replaces a cleaner if one is unavailable, and has a business you can hold to account. Hiring someone informally can leave you with no recourse if something goes wrong, and can break the rules on who is allowed to work for you.

Checklist before you book

• Licence: the agency should be a registered business in the UAE. Ask for its trade licence if you are unsure.
• Reviews: look for recent reviews from customers who actually booked, not only star ratings.
• Clear price: an hourly rate in AED, with extras priced up front.
• Area covered: make sure the agency serves your community, for example Dubai Marina, JLT, Downtown Dubai or Al Barsha.
• Materials: confirm whether cleaners bring products and equipment.
• Payment: prefer payment through a platform or invoice rather than cash in hand.
• Contact on the day: you should be able to message the agency and know when the cleaner is on the way.

Questions worth asking

• Will I get the same cleaner each time for recurring cleans?
• What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
• What happens if I am not happy with the clean?
• Are your cleaners trained, uniformed and covered by insurance?

How paolt helps

paolt lists only agencies it has checked. Each agency profile shows its hourly rate, the extras it offers, the Dubai areas it covers, and reviews from customers who completed a booking. You book the agency, the agency assigns one of its cleaners, and you follow the job live from on the way to done, chat with the agency in the app, and get an after-clean photo report. Payment is made in-app and held until the job is done.
